Monroe Lacrosse Spring Season: Registration Now Open for Boys & Girls Grades 3–8

Get ready, Monroe! Lacrosse season is right around the corner, and we’re excited to welcome boys and girls in grades 3–8 to join the program this spring. Whether you're a returning player or brand-new to the sport, all skill levels are welcome—everyone has a place on the field.

Indoor Practices Begin in January

The season starts with indoor practices in January at Brookside Elementary School in Monroe. This is a great time for players to build fundamentals, meet their teammates, and ease into the new season before moving outside.

Moving Outdoors on March 1

Beginning March 1, we transition to outdoor practices at the Monroe Township High School cage field. Players will continue developing their skills and learning game strategies as the weather warms up.

New Practice Location Starting April 1

Starting April 1, all practices will be held at Veterans Park, Ave K Fields. These fields offer plenty of space and are the perfect setting for spring practices as the season gets into full swing.

Games Begin in Late March

Games will start in late March, giving players the chance to apply what they’ve learned in real competition. Teams will compete locally in a supportive and energetic environment designed to help athletes grow.

Equipment Available to Borrow

If your child needs gear, we've got you covered. Equipment is available to borrow, so no player has to miss out due to equipment concerns.

Everyone Is Welcome

Monroe Lacrosse encourages participation from all players, whether they are just picking up a stick for the first time or looking to improve their game. Our program focuses on teamwork, skill-building, and creating a fun and positive experience for all athletes.

Monroe Lacrosse Little Laxers: A Fun Introduction to the Game for Pre-K to 2nd Grade

Monroe Lacrosse is excited to welcome our youngest athletes to the field with the Little Laxers program—an introductory lacrosse experience designed specifically for boys and girls in Pre-K through 2nd grade. Whether your child is already curious about lacrosse or just looking for a fun new activity, Little Laxers is the perfect place to start.

What Is Little Laxers?

Little Laxers is a beginner-friendly program created for children ages 4–8. It focuses on building the basic skills of the game—passing, catching, cradling, shooting, scooping, and simple movement—through fun, age-appropriate activities. The emphasis is on learning, exploring, and having a great time, not on competition.

A Positive First Experience

Our goal is to give young players a supportive, energetic, and confidence-building introduction to lacrosse. Sessions include creative drills, engaging games, and plenty of opportunities for kids to move, laugh, and develop coordination.

Safe and Beginner-Focused

Little Laxers uses soft balls and modified sticks, making it safe and accessible for new players. Protective gear is not required, and no previous experience is needed—just enthusiasm and a willingness to try something new.

All Are Welcome

The program is open to both boys and girls, and all skill levels are encouraged to join. Little Laxers is a great way for young athletes to build
